Question about changing tires?

Hi, im changing all four of my old tires to brand new tires. But the store (pep boys) im getting it from charges $200 for the changing, balancing, realignment etc. Or i can buy the tires, bring to gas station and pay alot less. But im wondering if i should get the balancing, realignment etc etc or not? Thanks so much!!

Answer:

sounds to me like it would want to correctly be the motor contained in the windshield wipers not operating precise. This got here about to mine many years in the past. I were given the parts at an automobile wrecker. Paid about one hundred greenbacks in total for them to positioned it in and purchase the parts i mandatory.
You should be able to find the full arm at autozone or another chain store. Call and ask, they may have to order it for you. Then find a boy friend. you'll be all set.
It is always tough to know what's best here. I try to buy my tires and get balancing and alignment at the same place. That way, if they do not wear properly, I can go back and complain knowing they cannot blame the irregular wear on something that I chose not to do. They check for worn parts when they align. If you need an alignment or balancing and do not get them, you could drastically reduce the life of your tires and that means greater expense. Above all, watch them so you can stop bad wear patterns before they get out of hand. Get down and look closely at them every 3000-4000 miles. Experience is the best teacher.
Keep shopping. You need to ask any tire store up front if the price includes mounting, balancing, valve stems and disposal of the old tires. Alignment is not a must so unless your car is pulling to one side pass. Figure the other items into the REAL ACTUAL price. I just wish that companies would simply state the real price. Seems ya can't get the real price from anyone anymore. Good Luck
Generally it costs $10.00 a tire for mount and balance. And I wouldn't pay more than $70.00 for a front end alignment but does your car need an alignment? You will also have a small tire disposal fee for your old tires. Sounds like they are trying to take advantage of you. I presonally have found Sams club the cheapest place to purchase tires.
