Question about my car and tires?

Ok I drive a 2006 Nissan Sentra special edition. Currently my tires are 195 55 r16 85 h. I need 2 front tires and am having difficulty finding a supplier with those tires. Apparently they are special edition like my car. Can i get another size to go on the front and keep the back tires as they are or do I need to get another size for all 4 or do I have to get the above size.

Answer:

Fire, Parkas, Borscht.
It's best to keep all four the same size.
Try the companies that advertise in auto and men's magazines. Tire Rack and Discount Tire are two that I remember. You should have four of the same type of tire with similar wear on all tires. Sears or National Tire and Battery use catalogs and they can tell what tires to substitute.
Hey Catie, You probably can UPSIZE to a 205/55R16. Whats going to happen is your tire is 10 millimeters bigger and a bit taller. 195/55R16 is a bit hard to find. When getting 2 tires and upsizing to a 205/55R16. You HAVE to put the 205/55R16 on the rear. Its a guideline that Michelin says to do. Since your are only getting 2 tires you have to make sure the speed rating matches up with the fronts, which is H. you dont want to have 2 different size tires and 2 different speed ratings. Best is to get all 4 tires, then keep the tires rotated so the tires wear evenly front and rear. Safety comes first. Costco usually has the 205/55r16. Call them and tell them what you want to do. They can be resourceful. Any more questions please shoot me a email
