I have an ASUS netbook that has had some problems with the charger that is plugged into the DCIN. (Not sure if I'm using the correct terminology here.) The ASUS charger stopped working and so I bought a Targus Netbook Charger as ASUS chargers are a little difficult to find. The Targus charger worked fine for a few weeks--except for switching sometimes between AC and Battery Power after I had left the cord plugged in. Just now, my computer stopped recognizing the cord altogether. I looked at the tip and it seemed as if there were originally a tiny metal piece that is supposed to protrude from the end of the charger. However, it appears that this has broken off. Do I need to get my whole laptop repaired or can I just get a new netbook charger?
