I am going to a school for the preforming arts next year and I was wondering- what would be more helpful: majoring in musical theatre or drama? If it helps, my job when I get older is either to be a face character at Disneyland or to somehow, by any small chance of luck, be able to be an actress at Broadway(Or at least, those are my plans). Which would help me get to either of those destinations more, a major in musical theatre or drama? Thanks in advance.
I think it depends on your goals and dreams. Although, we at Y.A. cannot tell you which deam to pursue I think you should take into consideration if you are a better singer/actress/dancer vs. just a actress. However, being a triple threat is a better option because, you have more abilities and have a better chance at getting major jobs because of it. Good luck!
