Question on cleaning engines?

I own a 1992 3000GTEngine has gotten dirty and greesy and I have read that there will be less problems in the future if the engine is kept clean, so I want to clean it upIf I can, I want to get it showroom cleanI have read that I can use kitchen dish soap to scrum and soap up the engine parts after covering filter and electrical parts with plastic bags or aluminum foil or use a commecial degreeser for the tough spots; which I know i have a lot of themThen let sit for a couple of minutes and then rinse with high pressure water. Is this way of cleaning that I have read up on and good and safe way to do it, or are there other suggestionsIf it is a good way, other suggestions that yu may have done are always welcomeIt is an old car with old parts, but I'm trying to make it last well and look good, you know? So I want the best way to get it perfectly clean; if possibleI know I can replace parts, but Don't have the money for all that just yet.

Answer:

I do not think to many people care.
My guess is that they'll run that Christie guyI bet he could've beaten ObamaAnd where the hell did you get this news story?
Leave the Romney's be.they were good people and could have done alot of good for the country.we are too far gone for that apparently.we would rather continue on with gridlock, inroad fighting, higher taxes, higher unemployment, more business killing regulations and more food stamps.
Show room Clean, you'll never get it withoutUse paper or plastic bags,Never Aluminium Short out electrical components A spray-on Degreaser is best and easy, make sure you read the can for instructionsKeep it away from battery, electrical and plastic partsTakes 5 to 10 minutes to work completely so if you happen to get some over spray on something just wipe it offWater to rinse, stay away from plugs and wires as much as you canUnderside is a little harder, you might want to have that done where they can get it up in the air.
