You can, if you are concerned about the crease between the pillow showwing up, you could buy some batting and wrap it length wise around the cushions. I did this a few years ago when I needed to slip cover a hideous sofa I had, and I didn't have a lot of money for batting, so I wrapped the three cushions in some comforters that I no longer was using, and you never would have known, it also made the couch more comfortable and freed up some space in the hall closet.
Looks only last until you sit on it. Try it with a sheet.
Sure you can, that is the way it usually is done. It's really hard to find slip covers that have individual covers for separate cushion and if you do they are really exspensive. Good luck.
