Question:

quick question, will choose best answer?

I have a hot water boiler to heat my old houseI have insulated the pipes in the crawl space and only the roof in insulated (not walls or the crawl space) its around 15F right now, i have my heater at 60F because i honestly cant afford to keep it any higher, plus my girlfriend loves it cold when shes asleep (canadian)Sense some of boiler pipes are next to the reghot and cold pipes (by next to i mean a few feet away) will the boiler pipes keep the pipes warm unuff to prevent freezing in the crawl space? Basically do my pipes run a risk of freezing at this moment? An how good does pipe insulation really work? I insulated with 3/4in an on the corners i sprayed foam insulationThanks in advance!

Answer:

.i doubt your water pipes in the vicinity of the boiler pipes will freeze but you might have pipes elsewhere that are vulnerable.around my way they tell us to leave a couple faucets cracked open, just enough to cause a very small stream [ around 1/16 diameter or so,,1 or 2 mm ] from faucet to sink.the recommendation is for cold faucet only, as far as i know, but you could leave a hot faucet cracked open too somewhere but i would say only enough to make a fast drip so as not to use much hot water, the idea is to keep water in pipes from sitting stillless likely to freeze if its moving, esp since it will cause the incoming water from the street mains or well to trickle in continuously,,that water is always above freezing.as far as insulation goes, the more the better.dan
You have made a startThey go in the box when you put them inIt will take some vigilance on your part - keep an eye on the kittens especially after they have fedPut them in the box right awayIt is kind of crazy how some cats train easier than others.
You say the youngsters' litter box is small with small edgesHave you tried using a cake pan size litter box ( or even use a cake pan )? These are only 2 tall, so a kitten doesn't have to climb in.Maybe, that would work better for that one who doesn't like to climb? Climbing onto a sofa is NOT the same as trying to get over the lip of a boxThe kittens use their claws to climb on furnitureOnce the kittens get a little bigger, you can go back to the box you're using nowAs for the carpet, you can get a plastic place mat and set it in front of the box.or a few so that you can cover all sides.much easier to wipe off than clean the carpet! Hope this helps.Good luck.
stable information is the kittens will pass interior the clutter container ultimately as that is of their nature to bury it as to dodge attracting predatorsthey are youthful nevertheless and would % some preparationdetermine that is shallow sufficient for themi might use a clumping clutter Tidy Cat with the pink lid, no longer blue, works super for meyou would be able to ought to go the kittens to a washing room for a on an analogous time as so they have not have been given any selection yet to apply itpositioned a number of their poo interior the clutter container so they see and scent it in therefront room carpet may be an eye-catching place to passbecause of the fact they have long previous on the carpet.the urge to pass there will be there as long because of the fact the heady scent continues to be thereGet a product suggested as Urine long previous, it works properlyUse it precisely the way the instructions say so that is going to artwork.
