Question:

Reacurring flu, Please help!!?

I hope someone can help me out, I have three kids under 5 and for the past 3 weeks we have been fight vomiting, diareah, fever and sever headachs on again off again. I am really starting to worry that this may not be the average flu. In a four week period I have had 4 days were all 4 of us have felt ok. I would really love to hear any advice, I am feeling desperate.

Answer:

The best kind is any kind handy. I don't think beggars can be choosers in this kind of a situation. Dry Chemical, Halogenated Agent, Water, CO2, fire blanket whatever you had. Just get the fire out, the person may only have seconds without it. Given a choice, I'd go for the fire blanket. If using an extinguihser, try to not shoot the person in the face with it.
Hi. Stop, drop, and roll until the CO2 extinguisher is used.
Actually, water can put out a gas fire, but it takes a LOT of water. In ordinary situations, you won't have enough water to do the job. I was in Crash Rescue at Ft. Lewis, WA during the Viet Nam war, while the Real Men got their butts shot off in VN, and we trained by pouring barrels of jet fuel on a small pond of water and setting it on fire, then going in and retrieving a small keg to simulate a human. Funn!!!!
because rubber burns at a hotter temperature than water boils. if all the water boils away, then it will burn, or if the rubber is thick enough to absorb enough heat to reach it's flash point. basically, the water is helping absorb and reflect some of the heat that would go into the rubber.
A heavy blanket, or an extinguisher.
