Question:

Rear brake whistle sound ?

My motorcycle rear brake sometimes is making a funny whistle sound, it does last for around 2 seconds . it‘s very noticeable but not annoying. There is still much of life in brake pads, my bike is Suzuki GSXR600 K4.Any idea ??

Answer:

Try using sand paper on the friction side of brake pads and use it. It worked on my motorcycle.
Dirt and brake dust gets embedded in the pads. Remove the pads and scuff them with a wire brush to remove any debris. Then clean them with brake cleaner (available at bike and auto parts stores)
My drum does that when it gets a little wet, just need to use them a little more.
