Question:

Rear tire brake locking up?

I am driving a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire and today my rear left tire locks up everytime I use my break. I have never experienced anything like this recently, and all of a sudden it happened. When I drive in reverse, it brakes just fine. But when I am driving forward and touch the break, the whole car shifts towards that tire side and the tire locks up and leaves about a 4-8 inch skidmark on the ground. Any idea what this might be or how it could have happened?

Answer:

It is in most places. In my city you can get a permit for a city approved sprinkler that will cut the flow of water drastically but still cools the kids off on a hot day.
never heard of a hard wired smoke alarm, but i guess it is possible. anyways, there should be at least two mounting screws holding the base to the wall/ceiling. removing these screw will allow the alarm to be removed. if there is a light on, it is getting power from a battery or else where. also, if the alarm is beeping intermediately, it is telling you that the battery is weak, and it should be replaced. depending on the sensitivity of the alarm, it will go off when is senses something. if you don't feel up to attempting to remove the alarm, have some one do it for you. one more thing, if you take it down, for safety's sake, it should be replacded with a new one
They are huge, slow, and unnecessary. I think the AK's 7.62 round could penetrate even the toughest shield at 5 feet away. Rifle rounds just rip through almost all armor at that range. SWAT can use them a lot because normally SWAT is facing assailants armed with handguns, which body armor and shields can stop.
Yeah really, carry a 80 pounds Pack with gear ammo and a Assault rifle. You already have Body Armor, and those shields aren't meant to stop bullets by the way. Basically its too much **** to carry, I would want to go around carrying a big *** shield would you?
1 its a hassle totein that thing around, 2 it would be encumbering and too slow in a swift house clearing operation
