Answer:

Aluminium foil does get hot in the oven, but not so hot because it is a shiny surface and shiny surfaces reflect heat well.
Good Question, must be something to do with aluminum, I would guess it does get hot but the heat repels as soon as its not exposed
It jolly well does get hot! I know to my cost! Either they have asbestos fingers or they forget to turn the oven on! Lol
You keep this batter in the refrigerator and make them when you wantREFRIGERATOR MUFFINS 2 cupsNabisco 100% Bran cereal 2 cupsBoiling water 1 cupCrisco 3 cupsSugar 4 Eggs, beaten 4 cupsButtermilk (1 quart) 5 cupsFlour 5 tspBaking soda, sifted (MUST SIFT SODA PER GRANDMA) 4 cupsKellogg’s All Bran cereal 1 tspSalt 1 cupRaisins, chopped dates, nuts (optional) 1.Mix Nabisco 100% Bran and boiling water, set aside 2.Cream together Crisco, sugar, eggs and buttermilk 3.Add to soaking bran 4.Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl 5.Add to wet ingredients 6.Batter will keep covered in refrigerator for 6-7 weeks 7.Bake at 375 in greased muffin tins for 20 minutes or until tests done
I beleive it has to do with the thickness of the foilIt is amazing though, isn't it?.
