Question:

Regarding water pumping capacity of 15 stage 1 H.P. Borewell pumps?

what is the actual capacity of 15 stage 1 H.P. Borewell submersible pump. I mean can it draw water if it at 300 ft depth. Is 15 stage 1 H.P pump capable to draw water

Answer:

thanks for th information
1hp Submersible Pump
Whats it rated at? I highly doubt it would ever be able to draw water from 300 ft depth. Look up what its rated for.
Yes you can in fact it is better to use a larger hp pump. A 3/4 hp pump can recover the water with less of a degree of workload there by conserving the energy it takes for a smaller pump to do the same required work
Each stage of a submersible pump helps draw water from a depth of 32 ft. so You actually need a 10 stage pump to draw water from a 300 ft bore well. Every HP of motor capacity can take 5 stages of pumps. So at least 2 HP is required to draw water from a 300 ft bore well. But the water yield will be very low. You may just get a trickle of water with 10 stages and 2 HP. So you need at least a 3 HP motor with 10 stage pump to draw water from a 300 ft bore well. If you need to pump it any higher from the ground level then u need further stages. this needs additional stages. So a 15 stage 3 HP pump will get you meaningful water from the 300' bore well.
