I am trying to find out how to re-insulate wires on a wiring harness. how dangerous is to have soreasonerre-soder the wires and reinsulate them? I have been looking online about this and can't find much about it.
As long as you have basic knowledge of soldering and you are working on wires that aren't connected to the power you should be fine. You could use shrink wraps to re-insulate the wires. The new insulation should last for years, all depends on what kind of atmospheric or mechanical conditions apply to your harness.
