Question:

Removing the air intake?

alright so i installed an aftermarket air intake, and managed to remove all of the stock one except the air boot, now it‘s rattling around and i either have to take it out, or have it fall out. any help is greatly appretiated and links for stepsv on how to do this are appretiated even more. The car is a 1999 acura integra gs

Answer:

Nice car, and to answer your question I need some info. You didn't remove the boot? Because if you got it loose, just wait for it to fall off and grab it with an extension tool.
It's to keep metals thieves from taking her to the recycling center.
i don't know about the integra but there should be at least 3 bolts at the bottom or around the box if you went with bigger tubes u need to make sure that there is enough pressure cuz the intake will not work but indeed make the car run like ****. u will need to reset the ECU control due to more air going into the intake manifold/motor
