i have a coach and 2 sofas ,cannot afford to buy new ones so i wanna do it yourself renew them has anyone ever done that and if there is anytips out there or a website that helps u get started . the fabric on it is ripped in more then one place i sewed it but withthe kids and the stretching it still rerips or stretches and doesnt look right ,, when u sit on it it feels like u fall into it ,i fixed one coach by re tightening the metals inside the coach it was ok but too high so if anytips please help
You can buy slip covers, or get it reupholstered (not inexpensive). But if the cushions and support are worn then there is not much help for that. Making it look pretty is still going to be an uncomfortable sitting experience sinking into the holes and broken supports. To repair that would cost you as much ot buy a new lower end couch and chair. Search the ads in the Sunday paper or search Craigslist in the better suburbs of your area. Often you can find good clean stuff for cheap with enough patience.
Start okorder /.... Also check out places such as the Salvation Army. Some of their furniture is in excellent shape.
