Question:

Replace Exhaust System In A 1996 Jeep Cherokee?

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country 4wd 4.0L 6cyl. I was told I need a whole new exhaust system and it would be $1,000 at the shop. I was hoping to buy the parts and have a mechanic friend put it together. What do I need? I know I need a Muffler, Tail Pipe (is that the same as an exhaust pipe?), and a Catalytic Converter. I‘m sure there‘s more so if you could please tell me that way I can get an idea how much it is to fix in parts alone. Best Answer gets 10 points, thanks!!

Answer:

All of these are ligitimate answers but remember this: No matter what you do to your car to prevent theft, your car can still be stolen. No car is theft proof. If a skilled thief wants it, they will get it. That's why alarms and other devices are called theft-deterrents. Those devices stop most thieves (and I stress the word most), but not all.
how they usually steal it is they come with a flatbed truck just tie it and pull it up and drive away or simply pop the hood take the tranny thing off automatically u can move gears and pop neutral take with tow truck
Break the window, pop the hood, cut the battery line, put to neutral, push the car.
