Question:

Replacing battery in an ac/dc Firex smoke detector?

I have an ac/dc powered Firex smoke detector which is chirping. Since it is hard wired, I assume that the 9 volt back-up battery needs to be replaced. However, I can't get to it. There is a door that opens on a small hinge, and I can open the door a bit and see the battery inside - however, there is a connector that overlaps the door hinge and prevents me from opening the door enough to get to the battery. The is an instruction on the battery that states, remove connector to open the door, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to remove the connector. It has wires going into it, and I can't see any obvious way to snap it out in order to allow the door to open. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. Lee

Answer:

Well it depends on how big or small u want the curls in ur hair, if u want small curls go for small rollers and if u want big curls then buy big rollers
It can be. There is a show called MythBusters on the Discovery Channel which checks out all types of urban legends. They recreated a typical bathroom, complete with running water and a shower, and enclosed a dummy made with a material which simulates the human flesh and attached it to a machine which measures voltage . Of course, they couldn't duplicate the strength of lightning, so they took it to the next best thinga power plant. There might be a video of it somewhere on youtube, or something. But the chances are slim of that ever happening. So yes, but more likley no. Hope that helps
