Question:

roll-cage and windshield wipers?

i have a civic hatch that im almost done building and one problem that keeps going through my mind is that i have a rollcage in the car and that rollcage goes through the front and blocks where the windshield wiper assy. goes. i dont want to cut the left bar ( to keep the car stiff) any ideas?

Answer:

low fluid, and probably got to hot and lost it's viscosity.
check there is the correct amount of fluid in the gearbox and it is a deep red colour.
buy a can of turd polish.
It's time for u to go to the car shop
either cut the cage and reweld in reenforced tubing to keep it stiff, or mount the windshield wipers elsewere. can you use longer arms, shorter arms, shorter blades, or any combination to get the motor out of the way of the cage and still have wipers? last option i can think of is to move the motor and make some linkage so that the wipers still work. or just weld in a plate to the cage and mount the motor to it.
