Question:

Routing or VMWARE issue? Please read details?

Hi, I have Server 2008R2 as my Host Vmware Workstation running Windows 7 as a virtual guest machineAttached to the virtual machine are several nics1) which is a private virtual lan connected to only virtual machines2) Another is a NAT nic that connects to my host for connectivity3) Is another nic that connects bridged to my Cisco 851w routerFor the longest time this workThen one day I was running cisco sdm and doing a security audit on the windows 7 guest machineIt took more than 10 minutes so I logged outSince then I don't have internet access, unless I delete a static route on the windows 7 machine that points to itThis is fine but only temporary as the route reappears after some timeIs there a way to permanently delete that route?

Answer:

you have got some opinions already my one is about salt intake - have you got enough sodium? if nothing has been changed in your diet and other habits, you really should see a doctor.
thirst can be a sign of diabetes, check with your doctor.
no way to permanently delete the route, but you can add the route in as a persistent route with a really high metric although it sounds like if you have to modify the host os's routing table, then it's a problem with the NATted connectionwhy are you both NATting and having a bridged connection? my suggestion would be to disable the NATted NIC, and just rely on the bridged connection.
