That is very interesting..to be honest I have never heard of that before. Are you an otherwise emotional person? If so, maybe you are just being very reflective and what better time to do that before you slip into a realm of possibilty (aka sleep/dreams)? If that is the case, maybe you are misinterpreting this reflection as depression. Personally, I am not a really emotional person but I always use bedtime for reflection and prayer, and, like you, my eyes water (especially in the morning) but that I think is just a natural reaction to waking up in the morning. I wouldn't be worried =] good luck and God bless!
yea there is something wrong here, no one should go sleep and cry like that. I'm 16 an I have depression as well from my Dads early death. This could happen because you are alone suddenly and your mind is free to wonder and you dont like this....I had the same thing and it was also because i was holding out on my family and i was really screwing things up and i felt soo guilty at times and i felt as though i wish i could go back to thos good times and u miss those times and it brings great sadness. And u feel like u dont deserve to be loved by ur family..... i went through that whihc is somewat similar....i think u should talk to a doctor about it because it is surprisingly common, also you should try to get to the root of the problem, who are in thses happy times? is ur relationship with that person ok? talk to family and pray....goodluck
Hi there--as someone who has struggled with major depressive disorder, it seems to me there are several things to consider. --how long you have experienced negative feelings. If this is a lifelong pattern, you have probably become skilled at cheering yourself up and putting your feelings in perspective. However, if these tears represent a change of your usual pattern, you might take note of this--how many weeks or months this increased sadness has lasted. --are you experiencing any unusual stressors in your life? New job? Credit card bills? Loss of job? Relationship problems? Any major change, even a good change, can bring stress, which can trigger depression in susceptible people. --How severe are these negative feelings? Do you feel hopeless? Do you ever feel like life is no longer worth living? Are these feelings interfering with your daily activities? These last questions are crucial, because if you have any significant impairment as a result of intense sadness or hopelessness, or if you have thoughts of suicide, you should talk to your doctor right away. Also seek out a psychologist, licensed counselor, or social worker who can help you learn skills to manage your negative emotions. It is vitally important for you to know that you are not alone, whether you are learning to understand some lingering, mild sadness, or facing something more difficult. I wish you the best!
Could you put your favorite blanket on the bed? Turn on a nightlight? Heck, sleep with some stuffed animals. Pray, if you do, before bed to not be scared. Watch or listen to something relaxing before bed. Sweet dreams.
