Answer:

Pre-WWII Judo included some basic leg locks; that's what was taught to the Gracie family. And probably some basic Catch wrestling, too, since Count Combat/Koma, their instructor, was also trained in that. The Machados have cross-trained extensively, including into Sambo, so leg locks are a bigger part of their game than some other instructors. Traditionally, leg locks were included, but looked down upon. The most common leg lock was the straight ankle lock, and to this day many twisting leg locks (toe holds and heel hooks) are banned from certain BJJ competitions. The standard line is that this is due to the danger of the moves, but I suspect, based on a few comments I've heard from BJJ instructors, that leg locks made it too easy to beat the guard position. If you ban, or don't introduce, leg locks until the higher belt levels, it forces newer BJJ students to work on their guard passing techniques.
Yes,But Most schools will not teach them before Blue Belt. Because they have to show some knowledge of BJJ,because the Line between Pain, and Broken is very thin below the waist.
as another person already said its an illusion. most fabric softeners are in fact toxic. some even contain formaldehyde. although there are alternatives. i use a device called a laundry-pure it eliminates your need for the fabric softeners as well as detergent hot water and bleach. oh and it is also environmentally friendly.
