The smoke detectors need to be tested once a month. The dust from your cleaning did just that, once they reset, after the noise, they should be OK. Next time, cover each of them with a dust cover, or plastic bag before you do it. That should solve the problem. The smoke detectors will detect any fine particles in the air, smoke is mainly carbon particles as is dust. Quite a common happening, just noisy. Test your alarm system with a can of smoke from the hardware store, or a lit candle will also work.
