I really want to get an industrial piercing but I'm going to a music festival in about a month... If I get it done this weekend, will a month be time enough for it to heal, because I plan on being drunk for that whole festival so I doubt I'll find time to clean it haha..Should I get it done, or wait until after the festival?..Thanks :) x
hi, scaffolds take an prolonged time to heal as a usual rule and it is by technique of the certainty that 2 sections of your ear are decrease than stress (as they are actually related) merely shop cleansing it as you're doing and assume the discomfort to ease off. finished healing time could be around 8-12 weeks however the discomfort could supply up quickly as long as you do no longer bang it.
If you clean it for the first month real good you should be fine and clean it right when you get back. The only thing I'm thinking is that industrial is easily snagged and hit, which is going to cause pain and maybe infection. but if your willing to risk that go ahead. it's not the end of the world if you get an infection you just need to clean it with sea salt :P but it can be annoying, your choice.
If you want it now, get it done! One weekend of not cleaning it is no big dee, especially after it's a month old. Just make sure to clean it right before and after the festival. It'll be fine :) have fun!
it not to big a deal if you get it before, but if youre worried about keeping it clean than i would wait untill afterwards. cartledge pierceing can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to completly heal. plus it will be sensitive for quite a while and if youre going to be partying it may not be a good idea to have cuz you'll probably hurt it alot. you'd be surprised how many things your ear touches.
