Question:

Second time posting this, still have yet to get an answer!?

My friend asked me why are friends speed bumps after reading this, I don't know how to answer any suggestions? Please ignore the jesus part or any other parts I just want to know how to explain the speed bumps! Thanks! The road to success is not straight. There is a curb called Failure, a loop called Confusion; speed bumps called Friends; red lights called Enemies;caution lights called Family. You will have flats called jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination; an engine called Perseverance; insurance called Faith, and a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success!!

Answer:

I say go for a D-ring Waterford. They are amazing. The Waterford has a lot of little joints and twist on it. All of the joints give even the most impatient horses something to play with. Right now I'm riding a young ex-race horse but with his Waterford in he's as calm as a trail horse. The Waterford is allowed in jumping, and cross country but it's discouraged from dressage. Seeing the picture I have to say your little horse is absolutely adorable. I love black horses, though I don't know anyone who doesn't. Good luck! :)
If the D ring snaffle does the job then why change it ? Was a time when the ideal that people aimed for was a snaffle mouth
A snaffle sounds perfect. Is a hackamore or bosal allowed in these sports? I've always prefered them to bits had great luck, but when I used bits they were snaffles. I insist on a neck reining horse though, never cared for what we called 'plow-reining', but that is western riding not sport.
alarms are worthless, any theif that wants the car is sure to know how to get around any alarm get a cutoff switch if you are worried about your truck
Well he is just a baby so I would suggest either using a straight bar rubber snaffle or a simple link rubber snaffle. If he is used to a bit and you find him getting bored easily trying using a cherry roller for jumping and cross country though tthe cherry roller is discouraged in dressage. He sounds and looks like an amazing horse good luck with his training!
