Question:

Sewing the edge of a fleece blanket?

I'm trying to use yarn instead of threadI've been using a large blunt needle but it's hard to stab and pull through the fabricIs there any type of needle that is really thick and sharp that will easily puncture the fleece?

Answer:

all fruits and veggies with lycopene.all lowfat foods and all sources of good fats like raw nuts, seeds, beans and steamed fish
A tapestry needle will have a sharper point and should go through the fleece more easilyBe sure to cut only shortish lengths of the yarn (18 inches or so)As you pull yarn repeatedly through the holes, it gets thinner and thinnerAn old quilting book cautions against using too long a thread lest the thread become impoverished.
