What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?? And what brand would be the best. i want a sick sound to the engine and maybe a slight increase in power. i just dont know anything about these. i know cold air intake is more riskyy but thats about it. thank u!
You already know your limitations, some people just can't ride motorcycles. Do not let peer pressure or family pressure make you do what you don't want to do. Do not second guess yourself.

Pretty much everyone I know has fallen when learning to ride. Like you , the first few times I got on a bike I crashed, That was like 45 years ago and I have been riding since.
Basically, a short ram air intake or gets the air from the motor and a cold air intake from the air passing under the car. The cold air intake is suppose to add more power however the big disadvantage is that when it rains and floods it will suck up the water and u can mess up ur engine. i would go with a short ram just to be safer, unless it doesnt rain that much where u live at. i would recommend an AEM short ram with a KN filter or original AEM filter. These work great, give a better sound to ur engine, not too much but u can hear a difference. and better airflow.
