i have a 2010 lancer 2.4 liter gts and im in the market for an air intake. so my question is should i use a short ram or a cold air intake system in my car

Answer:

lol scrilla for money
Get short ram if you want to keep it safe and mostly drive in rainy weather, and flooded areas. Get true cold air intake for more performance. True cold air systems usually suck in air from underneath/or side of the car, while short ram air intakes are simply located below your hood where your airbox used to be. Short air intakes will give you less hp, and they heat up more especially if the intake pipes used are metallic and not plastic. Cold air intakes are better performing and usually use a better air-filter/cone in order to suck in air. More colder/denser air more performance. My suggestion is: Get a good true Cold air system, or otherwise all you will gain will me a bit of an intake sound and hp (not very noticeable).
