Question:

short ram vs. cold air intake?

whats the difference.what the heck does an intake do anyways?

Answer:

i know this answer isnt as state-of-the-artwork as each and all of the others yet on condition that u do stay in maine its particularly chilly up there already precise so u might besides stick to short ram intake because of the fact one u dont might desire to bother it with taking the front bumper off and a pair of it doesnt have that top of a wager of hydroloking. And no matter what dont get a bypass of blow off valve. definite it prevents hydroloking yet then it removes the which ability of even having an oem intake because of the fact of what little skill u get from the intake it is going to all be absolved via the blowoff or bypass valve so theres not gonna be any factor of dropping ur money with an intake if ur gonna upload a blowoff valve afterwards so what i recommend on condition that america in chilly air already get the fast ram intake.
An intake helps your engine breath easier. The more air that can flow the more power that can be created. A short ram is worthless. All it does is suck hot air back into the engine. A cold air intake actually brings in cooler air to the engine. Every 10 degrees cooler in air temp equals 1% hp increase. Either one will not give you any noticable difference in horsepower. The most you'll gain from adding either intake is about 3-5 hp.
ram intake sounds like you have a broken exhaust annoying, cold air intake has a deep tone its not loud as ram air and gives the engine cooler air. i had them both on my car i would def. say the cold air intake is worth your money.
For that reason, I wouldn't make any modifications to your car until the warranty expires. You'd never know whether the manufacturer would back up your warranty for sure unless you follow their maintenance schedule and not do anything non-standard to the car.
any time you modify a new car the warranty is all most all ways void. unless its something like replacing the head lamps, or tires. but intake or drive train mods, unless done by the dealer, will void a warranty. take it to the dealer and have them do the intake. and ask about the warranty.
