Question:

should a glazed ceramic tile have sealant?

I had my bathroom completely demo-ed 9 months agoturns out, by a crappy contractor!! Anyway, I had vitreous/glazed ceramic tiles installed with an almost black grout. The water after showering, never sits on top. So I assume it is being absorbed. Should my tiles and grout have been sealed? If so, is it too late??

Answer:

glazed tile should be sealed, but the grout may not be. its not to late, but i hope they used the right backing behind the tiles, as some water will always get through.
complicated step research over google or bing that will can help
a big exhaust pipe starting with HEADERS is a performance enhancer, but the catalytic converter gives the most trouble with performance. So get the performance cat. converter, X2 for the dual exhaust. Dual is also known as a good way to increase horse power. then chose a muffler to make the sound you want to here. Where the pipe exits the vehicle is where you want to deliver the sound. I have a Big Block Chevy and my pipes exit in front of the rear tires so you can here that bad *** engine thumping on both sides, not just the rear.
Glazed ceramic of any kind needs no sealer what so ever. The grout yes ( at least 2 coats) should be sealedVitreous tile is a very hard , dense tile and has almost 0% water absorption. Depending where it was put you may be able to tell what kind of backer board was or wasn t used. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there.
