Question:

Should I buy a wheel barrow with one wheel or two wheels?

My husband needs a wheel barrow and I don‘t know which to get. We have a lot of steep hills on our property so I didn‘t know if that mattered to which I get. Also maybe using it some for firewood rocks but mostly gardening tools and plants etc. What are the advantages of 1 wheel vs 2 wheel?

Answer:

With one wheel you can go into narrower places like garden patches. Two wheels are best for heavy loads. If you are going to be hauling stuff up and down the hills then you are probably better off with the two wheel type.
the one wheel is for carrying dirt, rubble, topsoil, etc. and the one wheel helps the barrow flip easier to dump its contents. I've never seen a two wheeler but I would presume it's more for moving things like plants that won't need flipping and being poured out. I suspect if you are moving plants and tools that could be done in a small wagon (4 wheels). I would think a man though would be more able to use the one wheeled barrow. I would think though if your husband truly needed something he would want to pick it out himself although this item purchase is not a big deal.
