Question:

Should I keep my copper pipes?

I replaced the faucet in my bathroom and I was wondering if I should take the copper pipes off of the old faucet before I throw it out, there are 4 pipes, 3 of them are about 11 or 12 inches long and one is about 6 or 7 inches long.

Answer:

Copper like gold is wroth money! Save it up and sell it! Aluminium is also wroth money.
I keep a couple of buckets in my garage one for copper and one for brass once or twice a year I take it to recycle and collect 45 to 75 bucks if its not worth it to you put it in your recycle bin or give it to someone who will.
Copper goes for several dollars a pound. If you think you'll be going to a scrap yard, hang on to it. If not ditch it.
Let's be realistic here. If you come across copper all of the time I'd say yes keep it. But you are talking about a couple of pieces that would not even add up to a LB. Don't waste your time unless you really need 1 dollar or so.
