Question:

Should I replace my multi-card reader ?

I dropped my multi-card reader on the floor about two months ago. It still works fine. However, in the SD slot, I think the bottom metal part got detached(unglued) from the bottom, and the memory card rubs against it as I insert it. The tech support said that the reader is physically damaged even if it still works and that it the rubbing might do damage to the memory card. But, the tech people at a computer store said that dropping the card reader won't do any damage, either to it or the card. What should I do?

Answer:

If the card reader works, then you're fine as long as the card doesnt get stuck inside. No need to replace anything.
