Should kaolin be used in polyester production?

Answer:

But in the process of polyester production, the ordinary polyester fiber can be modified by adding kaolin particles in the spinning solution, thus improving the properties of polyester fiber.
Polyester fiber is also called polyester fiber (PET), the basic component is polyethylene terephthalate two ester, molecular formula [-OC-Ph-COOCH2CH2O-]n, so simply do not use kaolin when producing polyester.
Some studies show that under certain conditions, adding kaolin inorganic particles of polyester fiber still has good spinnability and hygroscopicity, dyeability are improved, and has certain anti UV properties. However, the mechanical properties of modified polyester fiber declined due to the decrease of crystallinity.
