Question:

Should the US declare war on lightning, seeing as it's far more dangerous than terrorists?

The odds of dying from a lightning strike are 1-in-83,930. The odds of dying in a terrorist attack are 1-in-9.3 million. That's lower odds than dying in a car accident, a fire, a natural disaster, a shooting or even a fireworks discharge. Why aren't we spending trillions of dollars on lightning rods?

Answer:

on a bolt action it is called the lug, some old military rifles also have a screw on the under side of the barrel as well.
That has to do with requesting assistance from other stations. A five alarm fire would be when resources from five different stations are needed. It does not necessarily gauge the severity of the fire, it could just be they need a special piece of equipment not available at their station, such as needing additional tankers at a remote location or the fire is in a high rise building so they request additional ladder trucks.
Salesman can be sometimes be too smart for their own good. To the best of my knowledge the camera doesn't initiate an alarm. It is just a monitoring device. These days motion sensors will ignore small to medium sized pets. Up to about 40 lbs. The module to dial your cell phone cost extra and I believe you pay more for the monthly monitoring as well. The other problem with contacting a Alarm Company is they suddenly don't have any discounts available. If you wait till one comes knocking on your door or you call as a result of receiving a flier in the mail, they suddenly have all sorts of specials on systems. Once the installer is on site, tell them what you want and be prepared to offer Cash directly to them. Installers get a flat rate for their work and the opportunity to make a little cash on the side is very tempting!
