Question:

Side Curb Parking caused no parking space left!?

This is what happens every night (pretty much 98%):My next door neighbor who is buying non-working cars from some place, and they try to fix it for resale. At the same time with their usable cars parallel parked next to the side curb (Including the space where suppose to me my curb parking space). But this causes me a problem, because when my friends come over, they have no where to park.I tried to address the issue with my neighbor, but they won't listen. What can I do at this point?Plus, the space the cars were parked at is right in front of a fire hydrant (but the curb is not painted other color), I afraid once it comes to emergency, this issue might become a huge live or die situation! What can I do?Its in California by the way

Answer:

No, you have to be given your powers by a wizard.
First of all, make your son clean it. Vacuum everything thoroughly. Rent a Rug doctor and rug and upholstery shampoo, and also the upholstery attachment. Make him do the work, pay for the machine and cleaners. And I would definitely make out a vandalism report. It won't happen again.
Well Who doesn't know what they're talking about and Jim is roughly right. It all depends on where the house is. We sold my father's house in New Mexico after he died and we had to redo plumbing heating and some roof before it could be sold. It had to be habitable and it was our (sellers) responsibility. Where we live in California, now they are requiring an updated sewer connection to the city line in the street, which is also the seller's responsibility, by law. I'd call the inspector and ask him at least generally - he knows the codes and laws and should be able to at least point you in the right direction.
Wow, that must've been some party! Your son should be responsible for cleaning it. If you have a steam cleaner, there are products out there for pet stains. Steam cleaners can be rented also. It should come out of your son's pocket. It's one thing when your own pets cause a mess, that is part of taking responsibility for a pet, but do you mean to say that your son invited someone over who brought his pet along and the pet's owner just let it do whatever, and your son didn't tell him to take the dog outside to go to the bathroom? If it were my kid, I would be reading him the riot act, and whichever friend of his treated my home that way, that guy would be persona non grata! If it's that your son didn't take proper care of the family pet while he was busy socializing, I would be reading him the riot act for that too.
