Question:

Siliciclastic iron deposits?

I have to prepare a presentation (only 15 mintues) on siliciclastic iron deposits and I have found so much information that I am having a hard time to decide what I should focus on. The intent of the presentation to inform the other students (university level) but still make it interesting.Anyone out there have a suggestion of something interesting about this topic?thanks for reading my question and I hope you can help

Answer:

why not concentrate on crystals? like quartz (silica) containing iron, like amythest and citrine. they are interesting, and they are millions of years old, possibly billions depending on the quartz deposits.
i like to soak stuff in straight vinegar fizzed up with baking soda, and let it sit overnite, then scrub and rinse---just about everything comes off----but if it's not soakable, i'm not sure---
Steel wool soap pads, a bucket of hot water with ammonia a pair of rubber gloves, and lots and lots of elbow grease. It works for me. Oven cleaner?? nasty stuff'll burn your skin.
Bahahaha!! It's Martina. I googled siliciclastic iron deposit and I was surprised to find a new question on yahoo. Ends up it was you lmao.
