Question:

simple brackets operation.?

could you please solve it in its extended way:3t^2+10t+8I know that the result is (3t+4)(t+2) ,but i am missing something in the way to this eventual outcome and cannot get what.thank you!

Answer:

First look at the t^2 term As it is 3t^2, one bracket must have 3t in and the other must have t. So we write (3t + )(t + ) Now looking at the constant term, we need two numbers multiplied together to get 8 Options are: 8 1 4 2 (-8) (-1) (-4) (-2) If you try these different options in various combinations in your 2 brackets, you will find that the only one that works is the one you have.
You already have factored it. Don't worry about how other people solve it. Do it your way.
