Answer:

Synthetics are all cheap crap, and not worth even usingOf course, that is only my opinion - and I have lots of experience with them all! Wool, and silk, it much much nicer to work withThere isn't even any debate on that.
To be honest, polyester and acrylic are the same material-plasticBoth are unhappy fibers to work withThey can't take heat, they pill, they feel oily to work with, and the cheaper the price, the ickier they areFar better are natural fibers, yes, they are more expensive to buy, but they keep their color, their shape, their warmth and are fire resistant.
I prefer acrylic because it can usually handle machine wash warm and tumble dry medium fabric careI love the various acrylic yarns in the Red Heart lineMost brands work up pretty much the same, to be honestWhen it comes to care, however, Red Heart is the only brand with which I have never had any surprises.
Cook two cups elbow macaroniShred about 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheeseGrease a casserole dish, spread about half the macaroni into the bottom of the dishSprinkle half the cheese over topRepeat with another layer of macaroni, then cheesePour about 1/4 cup of milk evenly over the whole thingIf you'd like a crunchy top, crumble a few saltine crackers over the topCover with aluminum foil and bake at about 400 F for 10 minutes, remove foil and bake another 10 minutesBest mac and cheese recipe ever, and ridiculously easyNo mixing of a cheese sauce required.
