Yes its all normal for an unneuterd tom cat. WHY was he not neutered years ago? Yes he will get more aggressive in breeding and fighting. Stop letting him roam outside and call your vet to have him neutered in the next week or two. Then keep him inside for 2 months (so he gets no more females pregnant) and supervise him outside with a harness/leash or enclosure where he can't go off your property.
