So I was staying in a hotel, in England, and the fire alarm went off. Naturally I took the room key, exited the room, went down the stairs, and was planing on leaving. As I was going downstairs I noticed the cleaning lady continued cleaning, and no one else attempted to leave. This is a big hotel and there was no way for those people to know there wasn't a fire. I have stayed in an equally large hotel in the US when a fire alarm went off, and everyone left and hotel employees were ushering people out. Turns out it wasn't a fire, but why are people in the UK not as concerned about fire alarms? Or was it just this hotel? Because not a single other person even left their room. Also, I'm not trying to be offensive about it, I'm just curious.
