Question:

So do they use fossil fuels in the manned stations for the Arctic and Antarctica ?

Couldn't one say with certainty they are changing the environment in ignorance?

Answer:

they just constructed a brand new station there but its all eco friendly this time.
Sure. They're trying to warm the earth because it's really %@!ing cold down there.
They use some fossil fuels, but also use wind power.
Depends. In MOST cases they do, for heat at least. At least 1 is STILL using a Jacobs wind generator installed almost 80 years ago for electricity!
At the Amundsen-Scott South Pole base “Primary station power is provided by one of three 359 kW diesel generators.” quest.nasa /antarctica/backgro There is no permanent station at the North Pole (it would fall through the ice most summers)
