Question:

Can a DIY bedroom canopy with a sheet catch on fire?

So I really love he bedrooms on tumblr with the fairy lights and canopies and everything. My question is, I have indoor christmas lights and a sheet/light blanket. If I put up the sheet as a canopy and put the lights up too, is there any chance of it catching on fire? Thanks!

Answer:

Actually there is always a possibility that that person picked up a stray amber or two so they throw the blanket over you and move it around as a precautionary method.
At the time this law was written, the horse and buggy days,, fire hydrants we re re-used oak wine barrels. These were painted red, placed in front of the shops and periodically in the streets with a bucket, the idea being that a ready source of water to put out small fires would prevent the fire from growing and spreading. Horses found them quite tasty, and would chew on them if tied nearby. The city fire department didn t particularly like this, so a city ordinance forbidding horses from eating the hydrants was issued. This also banned the practice of some who would dip the buckets into the hydrants to water their horse. The horses, in this case, were literally consuming the fire hydrants.
People in traumatic situations like that tend to go into shock which might make a person feel cold or shiver. Has to do with the body's response to stress.
