Question:

why are AMD Bulldozers cheaper than Phenom II?

so i was looking around for cpu's and i'm currently using a phenom II x6 and noticed that the bulldozer 6 cores are cheaper, and have better specs? how comes they are cheaper. im just wondering. cheers

Answer:

bulldozers are inferior to phenom II (according to benchmarks) it's probably because 6 cores = 3 modules (so technically 3 cores? rip off!) it's actually the fault of the way software is optimized (so why did they make it? they can't expect a revamp of everything just because they made a processor named bulldozer)
