Question:

Solar Panel for a Science Project? Lamp as Light Source? How will this work?

Hi there. I'm helping my sibling with a science fair project by constructing a power house in which demonstrates the harnessing of the sun's energy. We want to build a small house, with some solar panel cells on the top. These solar panels will have wires/alligator clips running through into the house into a small compartment, and from there we are wanting it to turn something on electrically. We're hoping to have a small light bulb in the house turn on, and a windmill outside the house. If I were to buy a windmill, how can I may it so it turns on when the solar panel gets energy and runs it through? For the project demonstration, would I be able to use a LAMP as the light source instead of the sun - as this will be indoors? If someone has some information on how we could go about this project, and what parts (cells and watts) we'd need, we would be greatly appreciated. We're willing to spend up to $50.00USD for this demonstration.0 Points to best answer. Hope someone can help out. Thanks!
