Question:

Speeding on our road?

We live down a road- that's in a housing development along a river. Our house is the last house before the turn around.. although after the turn around the road extends as a one-car driveway down about a mile and has 6 or 7 houses off of it. I hate the fact that others drive way to fast down the road. It really bothers me- especially with summer comming and I know our kids will want to be outside. Is there anything I can do? I know my aunt had the same issue down her private road- but outside of talking with them (which got NOWHERE) there wasn't much they could do. I'm just afraid someone will come racing down the road one day and not see one of the kids or vice versa and crash! The posted speed limit is 25- but it seems like others are driving 40mph on the road. And they aren't young children- they are others who are in their late 40's and 50's!

Try set the alignment tabs in the paper tray, and see if it's on another setting, like photo or envelope.
Yes, it's probably the battery. It will do this all night long if you don't change them out. If they're linked together, just one low battery will cause all the detectors to beep, which means you have to change all batteries to shut them up. The only other thing I can think of is one time we had a moth that was fluttering on the detector itself and somehow set it off. If you have a bug or moth in or on the detector, it might be causing the problem.
