Go to a frame shop, and ask for museum quality non-reflective UV protected glass. Furthermore, the lights that you are using, try a softer light. If you know what a softbox is or know how to diffuse light, I would suggest this.
i'm going to go with the polarizer filter because i will assume you want to shoot your subject straight on and you may want to diffuse the light and not use a flash instead do a timed exposure in softer light to also reduce reflection.
Two ways to handle this Put the lights at a 45 degree angle to the glass. To hide yourself and the camera, make sure all the reflective parts are dressed in black (hang a black sheet behind you, wear black, put a black sheet on your tripod, etc). Furthermore, you can get a polarizing filter to put on your lens which you would rotate until you get any other stray reflections out.
In the AHL, the league requires a half-shield. That might happen in the NHL, but LITY said, full shields won't fly.
