Madison Square Garden is where the WWE considers it's Home Base to be. Madison Square Garden is the most famous arena in World and has great sight lines no matter where you sit. Madison Square Garden is the Home of the New York Knicks, The New York Rangers, The New York Liberty. Madison Square Garden is where Hulk Hogan beat the Iron Sheik in 1984 and became the WWE Champion. Madison Square Garden is where Chris Benoit beat Shawn Michaels and Triple H and became the WWE Champion. Madison Square Garden is where Jimmy Super Fly Snuka leaped off the top of the Steel Cage onto the Magnificent Marroco. Madison Square Garden is where Diesel beat Bob Backlund and became the WWE Champion. I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

I don't care about MJ's Funeral, that's all for ratings, MSG is where true moments happen, like Austin stunning Vince, Kane taking off the mask, Benoit winning the title, ect..WMs 1,10,20, and to be 30. Plus it's more than Jay-z at The Garden.. Most NY Rock and Rap artists consider it a home.
Madison Square Garden and Skydome in Toronto are better than Staples Center.
Staples Center doesn't have the history that Madison Square Garden has. Madison Square Garden has been around for much longer than the Staples Center. MSG has had Marilyn Monroe sing happy birthday to former President John F. Kennedy. MSG has had classic boxing matches, including Muhammad Ali vs. Smoking Joe Frazier. MSG also has the nickname, for many years, The World's Most Famous Arena Austin stunned Vince McMahon for the very first time, which was a total shock at that time, in Madison Square Garden. All this stuff happened before the Staples Center was even built. No offense to that arena, but MSG just has a long history, much much more than the Staples Center. The very first Wrestlemania was hosted there...including the 10th one for the 10 year anniversary, and the 20th one for the 20 year anniversary...you can bet the 30th one will be there too.
