Question:

Stash USB Card reader not working on Windows 7?

I checked the drivers but device manager said the ones i have are the most recent and the only ones i can find online are for windows 98 and ME. wtf i only bought this like a month ago. I just upgraded to windows 7 and it worked fine on XP and I dont remember having to install on XP. When I plug it in it doesnt show in my computer but it picks it up in device manager.

Answer:

I don't know about the Stash brand for sure, but I had a card reader that I had to update the Firmware of the device before I could get it installed properly on Win7 64Bit. Worked fine on Vista 32Bit, but when I went to 7 it would see I plugged it in and then nothing ever popped up asking for drivers or anything - saw it in Device Manager, but nowhere else. You might try to see if there is updated firmware out there for it, not just drivers. Hope this sheds some light for you.
