Question:

Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, or Plastic horse shoes?

Which do you prefer and why?I don't have a preference as my horse is barefoot but was reading up on shoe types and it got me curious.

Answer:

yes i have tried them and they are delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha ha.good luck getting someone else to try the recipe firstSorry, but I won't be trying it because I have the world's best brownie recipeIt is the brownie recipe in the Fannie Farmer cookbook.
I don't need to waste the ingredients to tell you that it won't be any good with only whole wheat flour instead of part all purpose flourAlso a tablespoon of vanilla extract is too muchAnd 1/4 cup of cocoa powder would be too light - especially with all the whole wheat flourIn the future, you should try your own recipes before you ask strangers to make them.
Steel or Aluminum if I'm needing s therapuedic type shoe (hart bars, eggbars, etc)Titanium really isn't a common shoe typeIt's ridiculously hard to forge and shape, the typical forge a farrier carries around won't do it wellIt's also a lot more expensiveSteel is generally the preferred shoe materialIt's inexpensive, easy to shape and holds up well Aluminum is lighter weight for when you have a heavier shoe that in steel would weigh the horse's foot downIt doesn't last through more than one reset and has the tendency to develop a sharp edge when ridden on regularlyA heavier horse will have issues in aluminum because the softness of the metal will cause it to warp.
