Question:

Still humming noise from tire?

So I had 2 new tires put on the front of my car after a 900 mile roundtrip road venture. They are offbrands by far (Champiros) the minute I drove off I noticed a humming noise. The shop assured me suspension parts were fine since they did an alignment and rotors and brakes. Drove home with a the noise getting louder from the front where the two new tires were. Took to NTB they confirmed the noise was from one of the new tires said they were cupped, they rotated to rear end now noise come from rear end. Should I get new tires or look for underlying causes in the front end since they became cupped after 1200 miles? Or is this common when you buy crappy tires? Any advice would be great, thanks

Answer:

Crappy tires fast problems and the fact that it moved to the back after movign the tires back there confirms it new tires needed
Tread layout and/or odd tire positioned on development Wheel bearing or transaxle bearing (yet unlikely without added steel to steel noise or a grinding noise) Noise from yet another section that makes it sound like it is coming from the left front tire.
usually if a tire is cupped there is a reason which could be struts or alignment of the tires when you replace tires the need the front end should be aligned so the tire is straight up and down and not leaning. which is called caster and camber and toe. good luck.
